October is National Medical Librarians Month - How Have Our Librarians Impacted You?

Published: Tuesday, October 15, 2024

This National Medical Librarians Month, we’d like to hear directly from our community about how our librarians have made a difference for your teaching/learning, research, and/or patient care. Have you ever …

  • received literature searching assistance for an assignment, teaching or research, or patient care?
  • collaborated on a systematic review search methodology with us?
  • attended a class taught by our librarians or scheduled a one-on-one research consultation?
  • ... requested books, chapters, or articles through interlibrary loan/document delivery?
  • applied for financial assistance for open access publishing, or received help identifying predatory publishers?

These are just a few examples of how our librarians support OU Health Sciences faculty, students, and staff as well as the larger community. If one or more of us has made an impact for you, please consider sharing your experience here.

There is no limit on the number of stories you may share; up to three will count as entries to win a fabulous Kindle Fire, provided by Elsevier. Submissions will close October 31st at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be notified the next day.

The full link to the form is https://tinyurl.com/nmlm2024.

Thank you for taking the time to share your impact stories,

The Bird Librarians
