Need financial assistance to publish open access?
Published: Wednesday, February 19, 2025
Publishing open access can make your research more discoverable and may be mandated by your funding organization, but article processing charges (APCs) can cost authors thousands of dollars.
The Bird Library continues to increase our number of publisher agreements that allow a partial or full waiver of APCs when publishing open access in certain journals. These waivers typically apply if an OU Health Sciences faculty member, staff, student, or resident is the corresponding author on an article.
The library currently has agreements with:
- American Chemical Society
- BMJ Case Reports
- Cambridge University Press
- Company of Biologists
- Frontiers
- Oxford University Press
- PeerJ
