Using content from NLM's extensive collections, Emotions and Disease is an online exhibition that explores the interaction between emotions and physical health and how our understanding has changed over time. Items were originally on display in the NLM Rotunda Gallery in 1996-97, then adapted to an online format in 2000 and refreshed in 2021. NLM notes, "Emotions and Disease points to a promising future that includes integrative medicine, a field incorporating science-based mind-body treatments into all aspects of medical care."
