Covidence - Available for OUHSC Faculty, Students, and Staff

Published: Thursday, February 15, 2024

Covidence is a web-based platform with tools that are especially useful in collaborative manuscripts such as systematic/scoping reviews, but may also be handy with other projects such as dissertations.

How can you utilize Covidence in your research? An individual or team members can:

  • Specify inclusion/exclusion criteria for studies
  • Screen references by title/abstract
  • Screen references by full text
  • Extract data from included studies
  • Create your PRISMA Flow Chart

How can your Bird Librarians help? Ask a Librarian for assistance with:

  • Database searches - We provide free database searches to OUHSC faculty, students, and staff
  • Refining and documenting the search - We will work with you to refine the search strategy, search additional databases if needed, and document the strategy for your manuscript
  • Uploading search results to Covidence - We can complete the process for you or provide you with the files and guidance
  • Uploading full text - When you reach the full text screening phase, reach out to us and we can upload articles for you

How do you join the OUHSC Covidence Community?

  • Email shari-clifton@ouhsc.edu to request access
